These are pump driven manual type espresso makers. Espresso is made by filling the basket with the proper grounds, tamping and placing the handle on the machine. Once the handle is placed on the espresso machine, you will then push the brew button to begin the brewing process. High Pressure water flow through the finely ground coffee, producing a great tasting espresso's.
