I can't imagine a way to operate the Cremina without a pressure gauge. The one I have is a bit different from the one in the photo, but I like the way he looks on the machine. Anther high quality product for Cremina from Cerini.

After a rebuild, I was pulling bitter shots. This cap was essential in allowing for quick reset of the pstat on 1983 cremina. It's pretty enough to leave on. Very useful to see the bounce in pressure when pulling shots and relieving false pressure. I really love it. Inexpensive, great value. Mine was brass gauge on brass cap.

I couldn't be happier. While I have used Maxiamatics and Creminas almost exclusively for the last year or two I learned a lot about my machines after using this cap/gauge. It really helps dialing in your vintage Olympia . Typically, a gauge is used to set the boiler pressure, but in this case it can also tell you the boiler pressure while pulling a shot or steaming.
I would encourage Johnny to have more of these built. I think there's a market.
I only had a few minor complaints. The cap I received had some loose brass filings and the gasket was a bit worn. Still, the cap and gauge worked flawlessly and I would highly recommend the purchase of this or similar cap/gauge.
